Absences and Changes
Remember that absences must be called into our office so that your child’s classroom can plan accordingly for the day’s activities. Also, please inform the office and the classroom if any changes or additions need to be made to your child’s file. This includes address, employment or phone number changes, any modifications to your child’s schedule or daily plan, and modifications to your child’s pick-up authorization.
Outdoor Play
Our classrooms will make every effort to go outside everyday, even for a short time during cooler temperatures. Just Kids provides children with numerous outdoor learning experiences in our spacious play yards. We encourage each child to explore and play freely while outdoors, which can sometimes be messy. Please make sure your child has clothing appropriate for the outdoors.
Pre-K Parent Participation
All Preschool Parents: Remember that it is required for you to participate in our program a minimum of four times a year. You can attend a field trip, participate in a parent/child activity, or volunteer your time in the classroom.
Fundraising
Because Just Kids is a non-profit organization, it is necessary for us to have fundraising activities. We have adopted a bi-annual fundraising schedule, asking that families participate once in the fall and once in the spring. All fundraising proceeds go directly to the classrooms for supplies and materials.
Just Kids Handbook
Parents receive a Family Handbook upon enrollment. The policies, procedures, and goals of Just Kids are listed in this handbook. We advise parents to review and consult the Family Handbook if concerns or questions arise during your child’s time with us. This is a valuable tool that is useful throughout you child’s time of participation within our programs.
