05/01/09 - Rep. Pat Verschoore visited Just Kids as a part of our area's "Representative Field Trip Day."  Officials from the state of Illinois visited early education centers and homes to see how their support makes a difference in the lives of young children and families.  Rep. Verschoore was joined at Just Kids by Mayor Duane Dawson; Milan Economic Development Coordinator, Annette Ernst; Village Administrator, Steve Seiver; and Milan Chamber of Commerce Administrator (and Just Kids parent), Sarah Wright. 

Shannon Muhmutovic and her daughter, Layla, presented Rep. Verschoore with a letter describing how legislative support for early care and education has helped her family.  Just Kids would like to thank Rep. Verschoore, the Village of Milan and Shannon and Layla for participating in this special visit.
