Nutrition

Just Kids is a member of the Child & Adult Care Food Program, which sets nutritional and sanitation guidelines for our food service component. All meals are nutritionally balanced and "child friendly". Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are served daily.

Low Ratios & Small Group Sizes

Low child to staff ratios, small group sizes, and consistent relationships are key components of a quality early care and education program. We maintain low child to staff ratios (lower than those set by state licensing standards) in order to foster positive relationships within the Just Kids community.

Outdoor Learning Experiences

Just Kids has a long standing commitment of providing the children we serve ample opportunities for outdoor exploration. All Just Kids locations have space for outdoor learning and active play. Outdoor areas are separated by age group, and include developmentally appropriate toys and activities. These outdoor spaces provide rich sensory experiences, many of which cannot be duplicated in the classroom. With ever increasing childhood obesity rates, we feel that it is imperative for children to actively challenge themselves in a safe and fun outdoor environment.

Our thanks goes out to Walman Optical for generously contributing $30,000 to renovate the outdoor learning spaces at the Just Kids Main Building! The generosity of Walman Optical ensures that the daily lives of the children we serve are enhanced through fun and safe outdoor play!
